Fructose and Glucose Syrups and Sweet Liquids in Bulks
The fructose and glucose syrups and the liquid sugar are subject to microbiological deterioration. It is necessary a proper management to minimize the microbial contamination of the atmosphere.
The liquid sugar should be stored in tanks that can be emptied and cleaned frequently to maintain good hygiene standards. The design and operation of the tanks should minimize microbial contamination of the atmosphere. Also, the storage capacity must be sufficient to meet the requirements from the agreed delivery time. We provide support to our customers in the process of installation of the storage tanks.
Exposure to low temperatures for long periods may lead to the crystallization of some products, especially liquid sugars and fructose and glucose syrups. Therefore we recommend preparing the storage tanks insulation and heaters to keep temperatures within the ranges specified in the product data sheet.
The F & G syrups have a lifetime average of more than 18 months, but to minimize the risk of crystallization, we recommended using the product within 6 months. On the other hand, liquid sugars have an average lifespan of 3 to 4 days and it is recommended to be used within 48 hours.
Proper storage of food reduces the chances of contamination and growth of microorganisms. We recommend that the spaces where the product is stored are kept clean and free of contamination. Furthermore, with a controlled temperature and humidity range specified in the product data sheet.
